Lily's Bannock

Ingredients:

8 cups flour
6-7 cups water
4 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
Oil (count to 10 when pouring in to pan to heat/fry)

Directions:

Mix all dry ingredients together then make a well in the middle of the bowl to add oil and water.

Stir together from the middle of the bowl out

Knead with your hands adding flour as you go to make it less sticky

(don’t over knead or it will be tough)

Put onto a floured board and knead into a circle using your knuckles to flatten

Spray a cookie sheet with cooking oil and spread the dough onto the pan using your hands – poke with a fork

Bake in the other at 400 degrees for 20 – 25 minutes until golden brown
