Penny Condon is a Métis artist, born and raised in Saskatoon, Sask. Penny is currently teaching in the Greater Saskatoon Catholic School Division. Penny is a SUNTEP (Saskatchewan Urban Native Teacher Education Program) graduate.
Prior to enrolling in SUNTEP she took three years of Fine Art classes at the University of Saskatchewan. Penny has fused her artistic ability with her desire to educate young children.
She is the author and illustrator of two children’s books. Her book Changes was nominated for a Saskatchewan book award. Penny has done some artwork for Art Education – The Journal of Saskatchewan Society for Education through Art, and for the Ministry of Education. She was commissioned to do the poster and bags for the First Nations and Métis Education Promising Practices Symposium.
