Kate Boyer is a Métis artist, student, and traditional dancer. She attends the University of Saskatchewan and is in the GDC program. She grew up with her culture, trained horses in the traditional way with her father, and heard Michif spoken every day. Her home community is St Laurent de Grandin, but she currently resides in Rosthern, where she is a volunteer firefighter. In the future, Kate hopes to design a community space that Welcomes all people no matter their age, background, or economic status.
